Charlie Walberg has made our cruises delightful. He is especially adept athandling the 80 or 90 individuals that want to be part of a cruise experience withour Knights of Columbus Council. He has always negotiated the with the cruiselines to obtain us a great package at a good price. We use cruises as a councilfundraising platform and enjoy the fraternity of follow knights, wives, other familymembers, relatives and parishioners.Charlie offers us several cruise options. After we select the cruisepackage usually a year in advance, the Council promotes and Charlie handlesthe rest. There are many details to be considered. Some involve the cruise linelike availability of a Catholic priest for Mass, securing meeting rooms, arrangingfor a reserved area for our group dining and special group cocktail parties. Otherdetails include setting up the transportation to and from the port and the mosttime consuming off all, the individual financial and personal request details foreach person. In addition, if the group is large enough, Charlie will travel with usand run interference with the ship's hospitality staff insuring that we received allthat was promised. Charlie also has a knack for taking photographs of theparticipants and sharing.Our Council has set-up 7 profitable cruises for 6 YE~arsand we haveexperience dealing with several travel agencies/agents. I have been working with Charlie on cruises for about 4 years now. He has helped me plan trips to Alaska, New England and several to the Carribean. He has booked personal trips for me as well as group trips for the company my husband and I own. He is great to work with and I will keep coming back.I have found that no matter how large or how small the trip he has given me great service and has really helped me out at times when I have had questions or situations arise that were a little out of the ordinary.
